Former England skipper Faye White hails captain marvel Steph Houghton

If former England captain Faye White could have one more highlight from her esteemed career, playing more matches with Steph Houghton would be high on the list.

It is little surprise, therefore, that when it comes to potential England stars at UEFA Women’s Euro 2017, White is giving plenty of backing to her old colleague.

Bristol City Women are delighted to announce the signing of Carla Humphrey from Arsenal Ladies, as Willie Kirk makes his third signing of the summer.

The 20 year old will join up with the squad for pre-season ahead of The Vixen’s return to WSL 1.

Everton elected to FA Women’s Super League 1, subject to appeal

Everton Ladies will play top tier English women’s football, subject to appeal, after their application was successful.

In May this year. the English FA WSL 2 clubs were invited to apply to enter top tier in order to even up divisions following Notts County’s withdrawal.

Everton Ladies and Doncaster Rovers Belles were the only FA WSL 2 clubs to apply and the FA Women’s Football Board has confirmed that Everton were the successful applicant.

They have the right to appeal the decision, within seven days.
