USWNT Will Travel to Norway for Friendly Match on June 11
Match Marks Fourth Friendly Between the Teams in Norway and First Since 2008;
The WNT Will Play Two Matches in Europe with Additional Game to Be Announced
USA Women’s National Team will play in Europe this summer, travelling to face Norway on June 11 at Komplett Arena in Sandefjord, which is located on the southeast coast about 75 miles south of Oslo.
The match, which will kick off at 7:15 p.m. local time (1:15 p.m. ET) will mark the 50th meeting between the historic rivals who combined to win the first five FIFA world championships for women.
The USA won the 1991 Women’s World Cup in China, defeating Norway in the championship game, and won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympics, defeating Norway in the semifinal on a golden goal. Norway won the 1995 FIFA Women’s World Cup, defeating the USA in the semifinal, and the 2000 Olympic gold medal, defeating the USA in the title game on a golden goal. Canada Women’s National Team to play Costa Rica in Winnipeg and Toronto
Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team will return home to play Costa Rica in Winnipeg 8 June and Toronto 11 June.
The matches will mark the first meetings between the two nations since Canada defeated Costa Rica in February 2016 at the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament, securing Canada a spot at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
“Getting to play in front of Canadian fans is really special, so we are obviously thrilled to be coming home for another June two-match series,” said Head Coach John Herdman. “We’ll be coming off away games against both Sweden and Germany, Olympic Silver and Gold medalists respectively, so we’re confident the team will be in good shape to produce a winning performance for both sets of fans.” Read the rest of this entry →

USWNT Will Head to Texas for Two April Friendlies vs. Russia
USWNT will face Russia in friendly matches on April 6 and 9 in Texas.
USA Will Play on April 6 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco and April 9 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston
USA Women’s National Team will take a swing through Texas to play Russia twice in April, opening the two-game set on Thursday, April 6, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas (7:30 p.m. CT; FS1 [pre-game show starting at 7 p.m. CT]). Three days later, the teams will meet on Sunday, April 9, at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston (1 p.m. CT; ESPN).
These will be the final U.S. WNT matches before the National Women’s Soccer League kicks off its historic fifth season.
Russia, which is set to compete in the 2017 UEFA Women’s Euro this summer in the Netherlands, was drawn into a tough Group B with Germany, Italy and Sweden. Russia qualified for the tournament by finishing second behind Germany in Group 5 of the qualifying process. Read the rest of this entry →

Belgium to host Spain in an International friendly on 8 April
Belgium and Spain will go head to head in April as both teams continue their preparations for the UEFA Women’s EURO Championship 2017.
Spain women’s national team head coach Jorge Vilda will travel with his squad to Eupen to face Belgium.

Canada Soccer announces April Women’s National Team match against Sweden
Canada to play International friendly against Olympic Silver Medallists Sweden in April
Canada has added a second Women’s National Team international friendly to the April FIFA International window, announcing Canada will play Sweden 6 April 2017 in Trelleborg, Sweden.
“Adding this match against Sweden to our European schedule gives us a chance to play both the Rio sliver and gold medallists in quick succession,” said Head Coach John Herdman. “We haven’t played Sweden much over the past four years but we know their qualities and with the European Championships just around the corner they will be ready to peak, meaning this will be a tough away encounter. I’m looking forward to see how the squad gels, and manages the intensity of playing back-to-back tier one opponents. We will need to be back to our best to post results in these matches”. Canada wins 3:2 against Mexico in emotional Bronze Medal Celebration Match
CANADA 3:2 MEXICO (Deanne Rose 14′, Nancy Antonio 15′, Janine Beckie 26′, 40′ (pen), Katie Johnson 59′)
Three of Canada’s finest soccer players said adieu to their National Team careers in an emotional 3:2 victory over Mexico, in front of 22,508 fans, the largest-ever crowd for a women’s international friendly in Vancouver.
Canada opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Rose grabbed the ball in midfield before slipping past a defender and beating the outstretched Mexican goalkeeper Bianca Henninger. Mexico responded two minutes later with a goal from Antonio.
Canada again took the lead in the 26th when Beckie jumped on a poor clearance by a Mexican defender and curled a low shot deep into the net. Beckie put Canada ahead 3-1 in the 40th minute on a nicely taken penalty after captain Christine Sinclair was brought down in Mexico’s 18-yard box. Mexico’s Johnson made it 3-2 in the 59th minute. Canada Soccer Women’s National Team Vancouver Camp Roster
Canada Soccer has set the Women’s National Team camp roster in advance of the two upcoming Women’s National Team international friendly matches against Mexico in Vancouver, the Bronze Medal Celebration Match on 4 February at BC Place and a closed-door match on 7 February.
The Bronze Medal Celebration Match, which will be the first time Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team will play at home since capturing its historic back-to-back bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, will feature members of the Olympic squad, including retiring players Melissa Tancredi, Rhian Wilkinson, and Marie-Eve Nault in their final home match for Canada.

Canadian soccer fans from coast to coast can relive the excitement of Rio 2016 when Canada hosts Mexico in the Bronze Medal Celebration Match on 4 Feb.

Canada to play Olympic Champion Germany in April
As Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team gear up for the Bronze Medal Celebration Match against Mexico in Vancouver 4 February, Canada Soccer is already planning for its next match, announcing the team will play Olympic gold medalist Germany in Erfurt, Germany on 9 April 2017.
Canada and Germany clashed twice at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, with Canada winning the first encounter in its third group stage match 2-1, and Germany edging out Canada in the semi-final to play Sweden for gold while Canada went on to defeat Brazil in the bronze medal match.

Netherlands Women’s National team play two Friendly’s in Spain
The Netherlands Women’s National team play a training camp in Spain the team consists of 25 players. Dates from 16th to 25th January 2017 staying at La Manga and during the training camp will play two games.
