Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team have been drawn against Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway and Slovakia

Colin Bell’s side will face Norway, Netherlands, Slovakia and Northern Ireland in Group Three with the campaign set to start with a trip to Northern Ireland on Tuesday, September 19th.

Birmingham City goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger wins SSE Women’s FA Cup player of the round

Birmingham City Ladies’ spot-kick hero Ann-Katrin Berger says she is ecstatic to be part of a select group of players to walk on the Wembley turf after inspiring the Blues to a place in the SSE Women’s FA Cup final in May and walking away with a top gong in the process.

The German stopper pulled off several impressive saves in normal time of Birmingham’s FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea and the penalty shoot-out as City dramatically defeated the London club.

Berger’s display between the sticks won her the Player of the Round accolade, but the 26-year-old, who signed from Paris Saint Germain last summer, was quick to praise the efforts of her team-mates who defended resolutely and were clinical when it mattered against their fancied opponents.
