Cardiff City Stadium hosts this years UEFA Women’s Champions League Final between current champions Olympique Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday 1st June 2017. 15,000 tickets have already been sold so far and looks like beating the last years final match Attendance off 15,117 which was held in Italy’s Mapei Stadium, Reggio Emilia. Rachel Corsie Called in for Scotland Friendlies

Scotland women’s national team head coach Anna Signeul announced the roster for the team’s upcoming Women’s International Challenge matches. Seattle Reign FC defender Rachel Corsie is among the 20 players selected.

Corsie returns to the roster in preparation for this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO in the Netherlands. In NWSL play, the defender has appeared in five matches for the club this season, starting three, and has tallied one assist.

The team’s first match is June 9th against Romania. The match will be played at Falkirk Stadium in Falkirk, Scotland. Kickoff is scheduled at 11:00am PT. Read the rest of this entry →

Michelle O’Neill to officiate at UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 Finals

Michelle O’Neill’s progression as one of the leading female assistant referees in Europe has continued with her appointment to the UEFA Women’s European Championships in the Netherlands this summer.

The Wexford native has been well known on the SSE Airtricity League circuit as one of the country’s top assistants while also refereeing in the Continental Tyres Women’s National League.

The WNT face Iceland at Tallaght Stadium on Thursday, June 8th with kick-off at 7.30pm as Colin Bell begins his preparations for the 2019 Women’s World Cup qualification campaign which will start against Northern Ireland in September.
