Hi guys,
Thanks for all your help last time, I have now changed my dissertation title to The International Success of Female Domestic Football Teams, this is proving rather difficult with who I should interview and how I should go about questionnaires, does anyone have any ideas to help me or anymore helpful statistics on other countries successes and participation?!
Hope some people can help!
Thanks
Tash xx

Like Katy Stigers it would be helpful to know what level your thesis is at eg PhD, Masters or what?
You can start to look at the UEFA Champions league over the years because it illustrates the development of the domestic game and its impact on the European scene. Try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Women's_Champions_League.
Briefly, the CL is increasingly the dominated by clubs from the populous countries. This is to some extent illustrated by the teams that contested the finals over the past years:
2001-2 Frankfurt (Ger) bt Umeå (Swe); 2002-3 Umeå bt Hjörring (Den); 2003-4 Umeå bt Frankfurt; 2004-5 Potsdam (Ger) bt Djurgården/Älvsjö (Swe); 2005-6 Frankfurt bt Potsdam; 2006-7 Arsenal Ladies (UK) bt Umeå; 2007-8 Frankfurt bt Umeå; 2008-9 Duisburg (Ger) bt Zvezda Perm (Rus); 2009-10 Potsdam bt Lyon (Fra); 2010-11 Lyon bt Potsdam; and the final for 2011-12 is between Frankfurt & Lyon. The pattern is even clearer when you look at which country is represented in the semi-finals.
Secondly, the success of Spain at U-17 and U-19 level ought to start to tell at club level internationally.
You have to ask someone else for info about matches between club teams from different ountries in South America and elsewhere.
