Kicking off the London 2012 Olympic women's football quarter-final action is this exciting match between the women's World Cup semi-finalists, Sweden and France at Hampden Park, Glasgow on Friday 3rd August 2012 (12:00 local time).

Both these teams have room for improvement on their group stage performances, they have both given away a 2 goal lead and can not afford to waste opportunities in the knock-out stage. However, both France and Sweden did manage to comfortably progress from the group stage, with Sweden finishing top of Group F and France as Group G runners-up behind USA.
