@lauren i'm not saying you shouldn't try, of course you should, even if just to let them know that there are people out there that would love to see the games. i'm just saying the schedule of certain games was set because of the broadcasts and i highly doubt they'll change that the week before the start of the tournament.

@futfempt thank you very much for the translation. I'll send it right away and let everyone else know what's going on. U.S. soccer got back to my quickly, so hopefully they will too.

Good morning!

Here is the translation of your message:

"A quem possa interessar,

Sou um apoiante da Seleção Nacional dos Estados Unidos e já entrei em contato com esta no que diz respeito à transmissão online dos jogos dos EUA, depois de saber que estes não seriam transmitidos na televisão. As pessoas ligadas à U.S.

Cumprimentos

@Mariana the games are set, yes. But I don't see how requesting to broadcast the  games has will affect anything to do with the individual matches. I'm also aware that they know English, but it's always more respectful to try your best to communicate in someone's native language if you're trying to speak to them.

@Brandon Light I wanted to make sure it was for everyone. Of course U.S. is my #1 so I want to make sure that I see them, but leaving out the other teams is really rude and I know I want to watch as much soccer as I can.

@Mariana That's understandable, I agree hopefully it won't be too long before Group C are fighting for the top places

Mariana Comment by Mariana on February 16, 2012 at 4:07pm

@wsu glad i could help :) it is unfair, but when the tournament was created it was supposed to get all of the best teams playing aginst each other, and portugal (playing as the host) always got beat by 5, 6, 7-0. so they created a weaker group because of that. hopefully one day group c will also fight for the top places!

and yeah, if members in japan could point out an online stream, that would great!

Women's Soccer United Comment by Women's Soccer United on February 16, 2012 at 3:59pm

@Mariana thank you for explaining that. I didn't quite understand how the Group C teams could progress I was assuming it went on goal difference or performance in the group stage. That makes more sense now, although seems a little unfair on the group C teams!

That's a good update about Japan's being broadcast, maybe any WSU members from Japan can provide details (if any) on how it can be viewed online? Japan have some very exciting games with USA and I also want to see how well Denmark play against them.

Mariana Comment by Mariana on February 16, 2012 at 3:57pm

also, i can assure you people in the portuguese federation know their english :)
