Saudy Rosales gave Costa Rica the early lead and Wendy Acosta added the insurance in the second half to give Costa Rica a 2-0 victory over Cuba on Thursday in the opening game of CONCACAF Olympic women's qualifying.

Christine Sinclair scored four goals two in the each half  which gave Canada  a comfortable 6-0 victory over Haiti on Thursday in the opening game for both at CONCACAF Olympic women's qualifying.

Sinclair scored in the 25th, 43rd, 55th and 85th minutes to increase her international goal total to 124 and continue Canada's recovery from a last-place finish at the 2011 Women's World Cup.
