Thank you. Mexico and Argentina joining Brazil is encouraging. It will be interesting to see how far they get. Worrying absentees are Sweden and France, and England as well.
Will the matches be televised? Available on line? Does anyone know and if so how?
Permalink Reply by Women's Soccer United on June 4, 2012 at 14:13 I have not heard anything about TV yet, I am hoping there will be streams available, as the tournament is being held in Japan they have been pretty good so far at providing coverage of women's football.
In the last U-20 World Cup, Brazil were knocked out in the group stage so they will be hoping to progress a lot further this time round.

Permalink Reply by William on June 4, 2012 at 14:37 The last U20 was broadcasted on ESPN in the U.S. One of the sites I provided has a link to an online streaming of ESPN.
If South Korea plays like they did when they won the U17 (pretty much the same team for the U20) then they could win this one as well.
Thank you kindly, William. Maybe a final between South- and North-Korea?
I was surprised not to see Spain. Who knocked them out of qualifying?

Permalink Reply by William on June 4, 2012 at 15:53 I just looked at ESPN's schedule and they will be broadcasting the U20 Women's matches. :)
Whom do you predict will reach the semifinals? Japan, USA, Germany and one of the Koreas? Who is your Jokers? Switzerland and the All Blacks?

Thank you again. Nearer the start of the tournament we will be relying on your updates. What is ESPN´s commentary at ladies´ football matches like? Informed or inane? Assinine or quality-assured?

Permalink Reply by William on June 4, 2012 at 17:14 Any team that has made it this far can win it all. But for the group stages:
A - Japan, Mexico
B - Korea Republic, Nigeria
C - Korea DPR, Canada
D - USA, Germany

I agree with your votes for groups B and D. For A I share your vote for Japan but propose New Zealand instead. Group C is the hardets and I will support your faith in North-Korea but argue the case for Norway.
Anyone else want to make a prediction?
