Ashlyn Harris and joy in FCR-Hückel boss Thomas: The US-American Champion-keeper now has a two-year contract signed with the lionesses.

Duisburg (zi) FCR 2001 Duisburg is now a big construction site personnel with an international star closed: Yesterday, the board agreed, and Ashlyn Harris to a two-year contract. The 26 year old goalkeeper was a year ago, Western New York Flash-USA champion, held the winning penalty in the finals against Philadelphia and was voted the best goalie in the last WPS season.
"Ashlyn is our absolute desire Kämper Meike next player at that position," FCR breathes a sigh of relief after Chairman Thomas Hückel this deal and grants like: "We are just happy and pleased that this commitment has been achieved. Has to thank for it, especially to Claudio Marcone, who has made a long time ago the crucial contact and successful contract negotiations and design between Germany and the United States for months intensively conducted around the clock for the FCR and supported. "And the Top goalkeeper from the United States commented on the agreement entirely positive: "I am looking forward to the German Bundesliga and especially to the FCR, especially in the current situation is exactly the challenge I was looking for."
After signing the contract, Harris will now return, however, first of all to their homes and subject themselves to their current operation there until the end of July an intensive rehabilitation program. The last U.S. champion before the dissolution of the US-American League WPS was in fact an extension of cartilage in the shoulder fixed - which will have a delayed entry into the new season to follow. Hückel, after the medical check calm, however: "Our medical team has assured us that a possible use of Ashlyn is at least guaranteed to 3.Match end of September."

This is great for Ms Harris. Congratulations!
Duisburg won the Ladies´ Champions League four years ago and would love to get back to old glory. They need to improve in the German League to do this. The club management seems to be supporting the ladies´ side. (Earlier this year Duisburg organised a training match with the German police´ national ladies´ team, which was a preparation for the European Police Football Championship.)
