In 1990 the German Football Association (DFB) created the German Women's Bundesliga, based on the model of the men's Bundesliga. It was first played with north and south divisions, but in 1997 the groups were merged to form a uniform league. The league currently consists of twelve teams and the seasons usually last from late summer to the end of spring with a break in the winter.

At H-T, Frankfurt is 0-0 at Bad Neuenahr. That means that for the moment, Postdam is 2nd, one point ahead FFC. But 45 minutes are still to go...

Yes, some important players are on the bench, as Pohlers, Muller (who is in at the start of 2nd half) and Popp for instance. I also think that nobody wants to be injured 20 days before the C1 Final, knowing that the team will be deprived of Odebrecht (suspension) and Wagner (ACL this week).

Is something wrong with Wolfsburg? They don't look like a Bundesliga champion. Not even like a team who lost to Frankfurt last week. Maybe, their best players are off today, after championship is won?

We learn today that Selina Wagner (Wolfsburg) has an ACL and will be out (again) for at least 6 months. She was just back and she is very unlucky. It is also a hard blow for the team before the C1 Final against Lyon.

I hope there will be live streams also! England have been promising to broadcast and promote games so I would be really disappointed if a International friendly against the World Champions was not aired.
