I am at fault. Mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa. I misread the figure for the semifinal for the final. How stupid of me. But. I have to defend myself so I grasp at straws. WSU have not updated their site. It is all WSU´s fault. I am guiltless and absolved of all blame.

This illustrates women´s soccer in a nutshell, does it not?

Why getting so alarmist dear Lars ? The Final at Wembley had an attendance of 80,203 people...

Why give ladies soccer any screen time? Who watches it? Men´s U-23 attract better audiences than adult women.

It is high time that women´s soccer faced the music and danced, lest they be danced off the stage!

You are repeating yourself a bit, aren't you, Lars ? ;o) This is at least the third time since the opening of the tournament that you say exactly the same thing with the same reference (Swedish Royal Wedding).

How about giving Mathematics a good summer rest for a while ? :o)

I am at a loss, Gromit.  You type that --  "The SF between Les Bleues and the Nadeshiko has been watched by 1,3 million people with a peak at 2,5 millions ".

Last years´s world cup semifinal between Sweden and Japan got 1,8-1,9 million viewers in a country of 9 million people. The wedding of Sweden´s crown princess to another Swede, scored 3-3,3 million viewers.  France with 60 million inhabitants manage 2,5 millions (or 1,3 million). Big deal. Vow. Knock me over with a feather.

Ladies soccer has got to get serious marketing people on board. This is not cutting the mustard.
