French Women's National Team Head Coach Bruno Bini has announced his team selection for the London 2012 Olympic Games today from l'Hôtel de Ville in Paris.
The team selection is for the London 2012 Olympic Games preparation training camps and for the main women's football event at the Olympics this summer. France are in Group G alongside opponents USA, Korea DPR and Colombia. Their opening match will be against USA on Wednesday 25th July 2012, view the full women's football schedule for London 2012.
Bruno Bini's final selection may still change before the Olympics, Bini has selected his team of 18 players with the inclusion of reserve players Laëtitia Philippe, Julie Soyer, Kelly Gadea and Marina Makanza. A further two additional players have been called up to take part in the training camp Karima Benameur and Mélissa Plaza, all will be considered for the final team roster.
Bruno Bini has selected 11 players from the Champions League winning side Olympique Lyonnais for his squad.
As part of the French Women's National Team preparations they will play three International Friendlies: Romania (4th July), Russia (11th July) and Japan (19th July)

It may be a question of classification but the team looks a bit short on forwards, even if Bini were to play 4-4-2. Might work with 4-5-1, though?

Thank you DI. Make sense. Not quite a Christmas tree formation but you have to play with the team you have and not the one you would like to have, like all the great managers have done down the ages.
