London Olympic Games 2012 - Tournament Draw To Be Held On 24th April 2012

Starting with England as hosts. While France and Sweden won their place as best European nations in the World Cup 2011, the final 12 of the tournament are yet to be confirmed.

Brazil and Colombia have secured their qualification playoff in the tournament played in Ecuador. Japan and North Korea did the same in China following qualifications AFC disputed area in China. Finally, Cameroon and South Africa followed suit in October last year after qualifying zone CAF. This leaves us with three seats, two of which will be awarded on Sunday 29th January in Vancouver next to the winners of the playoffs North American region (CONCACAF), finally the last winner of the Oceania zone (OFC).

The GB team already knows the dates and locations of its first three games of pool. Hope Powell will begin Wednesday, July 25 and on the ground of the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, second opposition, scheduled Saturday, July 28. She will then travel to Wembley 31 Tuesday to conclude their first round matches. In addition to Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and Wembley Stadium, four grounds were selected for the football tournament: City of Coventry Stadium (Coventry, England) , Hampden Park (Glasgow, Scotland), Old Trafford (Manchester), St James Park (Newcastle, England).
