The current group E leaders Brazil, will face New Zealand on Saturday 28th July 2012 at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium (14:30 local time).
Brazil's opening game against Cameroon ended in a 5-0 win, and saw two history making moments. Cristiane's goal in the 78th minute made her the competition's all-time top scorer with 11 goals, (she previously shared the first place with Birgit Prinz) and Formiga's appearance in the match makes her the only player to have appeared in at least one game at every women's Olympic Football tournament since the competition began in 1996.
In New Zealand's opening Group E match they were defeated by hosts Great Britain in front of 24,445 spectators.

Be interesting to see the world's press coverage again tomorrow.
Permalink Reply by Gromit on July 27, 2012 at 20:33 @Izzy : according to your (excellent) second pic, it seems that Brazilian players must buy an entrance ticket in order to be allowed to play ? No small profits in these Olympics, eh ? ;o)
Do you think, Izzy, that Christiane will start the match (instead of Thais) ?
What did you think of Erika playing in center defense against Cameroon ? Well, not the hardest match... This girl is amazing, she can play everywher on the field.
Permalink Reply by Izzy on July 27, 2012 at 23:29 No...after their match, girls ask CBF if they could watch Brazil vs Egypt... and CBF said yes... in this pic, they were showing tickets to this match. I think Cristiane and Erika will start and the team will be the same that started the second half in last match.
