Congratulation to the winners ! :o)

I don't think there will be any official Best Player (in the same vein, there was no Best Player of the match, unlike at WC).

Lol @Lars :-P

We have just watched the Mexican men take Brazil apart. The Brazilians were useless, except for about 10 min at the end of the first half and 10 min at the beginning of the second half.

I am told that a team payed 45M € for one of those Brazilian players recently. How many Mrs Ogimi and Ms Morgan would one get for that?

I saw it too. I like Brazil in football but I love Mexico as a country, so I'm happy.

Don't wonder who bought Thiago Silva 45M €.... Unless you meant Sousa (45M € too) ?

Well, both have been bought by QSG.....

Men's Brazil has lots its 3rd Olympics Final. Ladies lost twice.... Damnation is over Brazil !

Oh... a Crystallized Eisensteinian ! :o)

¡Qué viva México! :D

Overpaid. Overrated. Over here?

Certain Brazilian ladies learnt to play football in Sweden, allegedly. Maybe it was being close to the Arctic circle and getting the midnight sun that made the difference? Or, dealing with all those mosquitoes? Polonaising with polar bears?

Viva CONCACAF! 3 medals 2 golden. And Brazil used a strong men's team.

Speaking of Brazil, I hope the fans in Rio 2016 show up for the women's futbol matches. Maybe the CONMEBOL federations would actually put money into the programs. CONMEBOL only gets 2.5 spots in the next women's world cup, fewer than all except Oceania of course. Though I find it exciting that there are powers in Asia and Concacaf, which there isn't in men's. (every final has been UEFA and Conmebol and only 8 countries have won I think) WWC has had 3 confederations with a world cup winner and 4 countries, already half and it began only in 1991.

You´ve lost me.

It is high time that the ladies Olympics stopped being a rerun of the WC the previous year.  High time to create a U-23 or U-22 or U-21 or whatever floats your boat.

Meanwhile, USA has to speedily get beyond 8 teams. Eight!?!! Most, if not all European countries run on 12 teams for ladies. USA needs to create their own CL based on states. 50 states & 128 teams; think the FA cup with top teams entering after a few rounds. Remember the Faeroe Islands; forget Frankfurt. Yeehaw!
