All the men are envious of Mr Ogimi. He has made a great catch. Long may it last!
One picture is missing, that of the French goalie. She made some spectacular saves, including one from point blank range. Even if France do not win or even get to the final, she must be a strong candidate for the Golden Gloves.
The pass of the tournament so far? Mrs Ogimi´s to Ms Ohno for the second Japanese goal?
Oddly enough Ms Ohno looked somewhat glum after being substituted; I would hate to see her when she is depressed. Given the cameras on players all the time, a bit of media-training would not come amiss -- but that costs money, something lacking in the women´s game as illustrated by travelling-standards.
Permalink Reply by Gromit on August 4, 2012 at 11:57 Shinobu Ohno was not glum, she is one of the most smiling Japanese players (and the concurrence is strong !). She only was exhausted ! She and Yuki Ogimi never stopped running everywhere to press Brazilians defenders and midfielders. Their mutual lucidity and cool-blooded on the second goal after 73' of this marathon, was just incredible. So, I think that Ohno was just... dead !
