Hope Powell will coach Team GB during their first ever Olympic women's football campaign and the pre-tournament friendly against Sweden will offer great preparation against a tough opponent.

Team GB is kicking off the London 2012 Olympics on Wednesday 25th July with a match against New Zealand at the Cardiff, Millennium Stadium. Check out the full women's football schedule for the London 2012 Olympic Games here.

Head coach Hope Powell told TheFA.com: "There has been a lot of work behind the scenes to plan and prepare for this tournament and the final warm-up match is a key part of that. Sweden are a strong side and we want that challenge to be ready for 25 July when the Olympics begins for us. It is a huge opportunity, both in this country and worldwide, to showcase Women’s football to a bigger audience and grow the game.”

Sweden women's best finish at an Olympic Games was when they finished 4th in Athens 2004.
