VIDEO / HIGHLIGHTS OF CLOSING CEREMONY:

Oh, thanks Kat. I thought the ceremony where Pia was given a special medal, etc. and who is on another discussion, was back in Usa.

Actually, I saw very few US athletes, only some at the end. French TV prefered to show the French one and, above all, talk, talk, talk endlessly, even over the songs. How irritating ! Did the people in the stadium need constant explanations ? It was even worst for the Opening ceremony and the TV commentators were heavily criticized.

Actually Gromit, the US ladies were there. You might not recognize them with their hair down...or your broadcast station didn't show them like mine. Our airing of the closing ceremony has just ended...since everything over here is tape delayed. As if people aren't home on Sunday afternoons to watch it live.

It's over... Congratulations to London and the whole country who organized beautiful games... After the magnificence of Beijing, the challenge was high. London rose it.

Brillant ceremony. Maybe a bit less spectacular than the Opening, less mise en scène, more Pop and Rock Music oriented. But I won't complain. Ray Davies, John Lennon, The Who and Mods on Vespas and Lambrettas made my day ;o)

As Football Ladies I could spot only the French and the Canadians amongst the athletes. We know the US team has already gone back home. I saw many Japanese girls but not our beloved Nadeshiko.

Has anyone spotted some others ?

In which other country than England, an Olympics ceremony would dare to show Nuns' knickers as Union-Jacks ? Ah ah ! That's why we love this country so much :)

Eric Idle ! Fantastic !  I looooove this song (and the final sequence in the corresponding film) :o))
