Ramona Bachmann appointed as ambassador for final round of 2011-12 UEFA Women's U-17 Championship

Switzerland will be treated to its own celebration of European national team football, as the final round of 2011-12 UEFA Women's U-17 Championship kicks off at the Colovray stadium in Nyon on 26th June 2012.

UEFA will host the annual final round of the U-17 tournament opposite its headquarters at the Centre of Football Excellence at Colovray.

The ambassador of this season's final tournament is Switzerland international Ramona Bachmann. Bachmann has represented her country in the 2009 UEFA Euro Women's U-19  final round and took her team to semi-final success. During the the week of football, Ramona will be present on Friday and will sign autographs for fans at 14:00.

This season is the first time Switzerland have made the finals, which is held every year since 2008 in their home nation.
