England won the game with a good free kick from Rachel Yankey, but the way the kick was taken has left a sour taste on a lot of people on the social networks, most people saying how unsportsmanlike the goal was.Take a look for yourselves and judge ?

Permalink Reply by Diane on June 18, 2012 at 3:27 It would seem she asked the ref & was given the OK. All's fair in love and soccer, if you stay within the rules :) Teams just assume their opponents are going to wait for them, sometimes you just can't!
The referee is (one of) the top referee in the ladies´ game. She has refereed a number of high profile matches including this year´s Champions League final, the 2004 Olympic final and another CL final in-between. Unlike Colina she is not immediately recognisable, him having suffered from alopecia, but fortunately, unlike her countryman Anders Frisk, she has not received death threats and threats to her family.
It is a clever goal and a bit of naivety from Holland not to put someone in front of the ball.
At the origin, it was an unnecessary foul by Koster as well who gave away that free kick.
I was behind the goal and I am 100% sure that the goalkeeper was actually lazy and couldnt be bothered with trying to save as well, because she had at least a second to go and at least make a dive...
