Hi Lars, we have not had too many injuries in the seattle team. Megan is leaving us to go play in France, I expect to see her play on the National Team at some point. She is a fantastic player and I was lucky to have watched her play this season. The sell out crowd would be less than 6 000 as the starfire complex does not hold that many. :)  The womans sounders average around 4,500. It will be intresting to see how that continues next season with out many of the big names. The sounders woman front office are very good at promoting the girls.

The girls do play hard, however I found that most of the woman players in the usa don't push a tackle too far as to cause injury. The only time I have seen dangerous play was with Hope Solo and  colorada rapids player #8. She was ok.

Well I will be at the last home game tomorrow and I may do the road trip to LA to watch the last three away games.

Hello

I am a season ticket holder for the sounders woman, I also take pics for prostamerika.com who is a great advocate for the womans team. This is my first year watching the team and have been so intrigued and pleasantly surprised by the skill and fairplay of the womans game. We have been lucky this season that we have had 3 olympians play on the team as well as veronica perez, mexican internationl. Friday is our last season match at home at the starfire complex. Despite not having the olympians we will sell out the game. A good sign.

Meagan Manthey will also play her last game at home as she is leaving for France and a couple of other girls will be going. I can say that despite this, I will still buy season tixs for next year, although I believe that having the media names have given us more exposure and have helped to increase the interest and numbers watching the girls. The only reason I knew there was a womans team was because of megan rapinoe and hope solo.

I know that I find the leagues confusing and wish we had a mls womans league. :)  It will be an interesting season next year to see which players we will get and who will return. It has been a great year though for womans soccer in seattle and hope it continues.

Soccer is popular in Seattle, also the region doesn't have the same number of successful sports teams in other sports.

@LArs the olympics are here. Wambach will retire but under the right system and if she keeps training she can keep playing. Look at Pirlo. I think she can play 2 or 3 more seasons. Look at Seedorf

I think the sounders by getting Hope Solo and Alex Morgan got the two biggest media players in the womens game today. Abby Wambach is a great player and makes the third but Solo and Morgan are the ones the media gravitate to. I wonder who Wambach will play with in the future especially once the olympics are over.

That's really good news @Crystal, Not only more exposure for the league but regular updates which is important
