UEFA Women's Champions League will be handed over to the city of Munich today

The trophy of the UEFA Women's Champions League will be handed over to the city of Munich the venue for this season's final, during a special ceremony taking place today at 16:00 CET in Altes Rathaus, Marienplatz.

UEFA President Michel Platini will hand over the UEFA Women's Champions League trophy to the mayor of Munich for Sport Christine Stroble.This prestigious event marks the countdown to the UEFA Women's Champions League final tacking place at the Bavarian city on 17th and 19th May 2012.

The ceremony will be conducted in the presence of UEFA Women's Champions League final ambassador Steffi Jones, UEFA Champions League final ambassador Paul Breitner and UEFA Champions Festival ambassador Willy Sagnol. Representatives of last year’s women's competition winners Olympique Lyonnais will also be at the event.
