UEFA Women's Champions League Semi-Final: Olympique Lyonnais v 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam (15th April 2012)

Olympique Lyonnais meet 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in the UEFA Women's Champions League Semi-final (1st Leg) match on Sunday 15th April 2012.

These two teams have met twice previously in the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League but only one will progress to this years final in Munich.

In last year's women's Champions League Final Lyon beat Potsdam 2-0 in London to avenge a penalty shoot-out defeat in Getafe the previous year.

Olympique Lyonnais' coach Patrice Lair spoke to Women's Soccer United about meeting Potsdam in the Semi-finals: "The objective is to score without conceding a goal at home, our style of play is a dry top with our defence to take the enemy in their own half and offer a maximum of play to score as often as possible."

Team News will be posted here when they are confirmed. Details of live streams will be posted here on match day and on our Official Twitter and Facebook pages. You can also follow our match updates on Twitter and Facebook.

55' GOAL! Lyon 4-0 Potsdam (Dickenmann scores!)

61' GOAL! Lyon 5-0 Potsdam (Abily gets her second of the game!)

i thought at the beginning that it would be a pretty even game, maybe a bit in favor for the hosts, but how wrong was i...lyon seemed to thrive in the rain, and strangely their good passing game, didn't suffer because of the horrible conditions. potsdam tried, but the lyon players was all over them as soon as they got the ball...

lyon was obviously the better team, and won comfortably...i just hope that potsdam can come back from this, and give them a run for the money...i surely hope that it will be the case, cause it is much more fun to watch a more even playing field..

Me too, I thought it was going to be very close contest, I couldn't believe Lyon were leading 3-0 so early in the game. The pitch played a part in it but both teams had to adapt. I think the game at Potsdam will be closer, Potsdam could even win at home but Lyons aggregate should be enough to get them through... but anything's possible
