Leeds United Ladies are hoping that their FA Women's Cup Third Round tie at Watford finally gets the go-ahead on Sunday 19 February after being postponed because of the freezing weather over the past fortnight.

Kick-off is now at 2pm at Northwood FC, and Leeds will be hoping for a return to their pre-Christmas form which has seen them rise to second in the FA Women's Premier League. Their last game was a less-than-convincing home win in the West Riding Women's County Cup, which will see them face local rivals Leeds City Vixens in the semi-final on Wednesday 7 March at Woodlesford.

Leeds did the league double over Watford earlier this season, a 2-0 opening-day home win followed by a 3-0 win away in October.

"Leeds has had some great cup runs in recent years," said General Manager Gary Taylor. "We reached the FA Women's Cup Final in 2006 and 2008, and the League Cup Final in 2007 and 2010 - the year we won.

"But the FA Cup is the competition every club and player wants to win, at every level, and we're eager to get this campaign underway at last.

"There's also the stark reality that winning the tie will earn a £400 payment from the FA, which is a help to any club. Our players train twice a week and play on Sundays, yet receive no travel expenses. We're second in the league but pay no win bonus. So things like a good cup run, or the Hall of Fame Fundraising Dinner we're holding in March, or player sponsorship, would go some way to giving them some reward for all their hard work this season."

Should Leeds beat Watford, they will travel to either Aston Villa or Coventry - both fellow Premier League sides - for the Fourth Round on Sunday 26 February, with the possible prize of a game against Super League opposition two weeks later. The next home game for the club is a Premier League Cup group stage game against Sunderland Women on Sunday 4 March, at Farsley AFC's Throstle Nest ground.

Full, live text commentary will be available from the game through the club's website, with regular goal updates via Twitter @LeedsUnitedLFC
