Comment by Women's Soccer United on October 10, 2012 at 21:15 Poor thing! Glad she is ok now! I've seen a few players go over the advertising boards (mainly in the men's game) but not a head first into it, thankfully!
Well, WSU. She is okay. But it took a while before she got to play again. She had a brain shaking. It was just a reaction when I saw the plan. Immediately came to mind the injury when I saw the advertising signs to stand as close to the pitch.
Comment by Women's Soccer United on October 10, 2012 at 21:00 Ouch! @John! Was the player ok??
Comment by Women's Soccer United on October 10, 2012 at 21:00 Yeah @Gromit :) Kim Little is arguably one of the best (if not the best) players in the WSL in my opinion. She is a hard-working, consistent player and has an eye for goals! Like Le Sommer :) I think Kim Little is the leading WSL goalscorer? I would have to check to confirm.
Yes @ Gromit, it is quite clear that it is the charm that the audience will close the plan. It looked the same at Malmö IP for a couple of years ago when a player ran her head into one of the advertising signs. So Swedish Football Association said it had to remove advertising signs because they were too close to the pitch. Thus lost Malmo sponsorship revenue. This they struggling with this year.
Comment by Women's Soccer United on October 10, 2012 at 20:55 Full-time: Arsenal Ladies 1-0 Birmingham City (Kim Little 82') | Congratulations to Arsenal who are crowned Conti Cup Champions!
Comment by Gromit on October 10, 2012 at 20:53 I'm happy for little Kim !
Comment by Gromit on October 10, 2012 at 20:45 @John, yes you're right. But that's the charm of those stadiums. Not the ads but the fact to keep people very close to the pitch. What we call in France "Stades à l'anglaise" (English style stadiums) ;o)
Comment by Gromit on October 10, 2012 at 20:43 @Gina, don't you think that Liittle's goal is a bit Le Sommerian ? ;o))
