@ Gromit - Yeah, in the first season it was not very good because the fixtures ended up being the same as what was happening in the league. So they have now introduced a group system... I think when the WSL 2 teams can compete in it to, it will make it more exciting.

Yesterday's game against Liverpool was Arsenal's opening league match. Their squad was strong -  Byrne, Scott, Grant, Flaherty, Beattie, Houghton, Nobbs, Little, Carter, Davison, White.

So, as it stands Arsenal are joint bottom with Doncaster... But this takes us back to the previous discussions, it doesn't really matter where anyone finishes this season as they have already released what is happening in 2014.

I´m glad for the behalf of my country(wo)man Katrín Ómarsdóttir who plays with Liverpool for the win over The Gunners

@Gina - Thank you for the info about the Cup. I guessed it meant "Continental", but having this term associated with the insular England puzzled me...

So, it's a bit like a reduced-League Cup, then ?

Do you know if Arsenal played with its whole team ? One draw vs Lincoln, then a huge defeat... I don't have a feeling they are very interested by winning this Cup...

@Gromit - I know, very out of character for the Gunners!

The Conti-Cup is short-term for the 'Continental Cup' - sponsored by the tyre company. It is completely different to the FA Cup as it only includes the WSL teams.

Wow ! It's a bolt from the blue ! Well, from the Reds, actually ;o)

What's happened to the Gunners ?

@WSU : can you tell us, please, what is exactly the "Conti Cup" ? Is it another name for the FA Cup or is it something different ?
