Just for fun me and Deborah thought we would see who would be able to predict the way the women's World Cup in Germay will pan out.

Because if USA and Germany both win their groups, they will meet in the Semi Finals - maybe this will change your WC prediction.

So here is the WWC format you need to use:

How to make your prediction -

You need to choose who you think will be 1st and 2nd in their groups and place the teams in the above format, eliminating the teams you think will get knocked out. At the end you will have your winnng team prediction!

Tough call on the Japan - Canada game and also Germany - USA. Both great teams with the USA winning the last 2 matches they played against each other but Germany has an advantage with playing a home game in their country but I chose the USA because I like them more. But just like I said both are great teams and this will be a interesting match to watch, maybe some extra time and penalties.

Predictions? Good luck with that.

All I can say is that it looks like Germany #1, Canada #2 and USA #3 at this point.

Canada always has a tough time against the US, but it looks like they may never meet, except in a potential final. And Germany seem to have a great home record. So a Canada - USA final doesn't seem likely.

The way things have been going for Canada this past year, I certainly wouldn't rule out a possible win for our girls. Go Big Red!!

Aussies to beat USA ( wishful but I like to dream :))

@Kate I love your prediction :):) I am pleased to see your heart is not ruling your decisions lol ;) That is the great thing about tournaments, anything can happen and USA have recently looked beatable.

@Steve Canada definitely have to be considered one of the strong contenders for the title, their recent tournament form has been great and they will be going into the tournament with a lot of confidence :)

Just having a look back on the predictions! Seems we all went for Canada to finish second of Group A. Canada had such a great run up to this tournament.
