Denmark Women’s National Team Head Coach Kenneth Heiner-Møller has selected 23 players to travel to Portugal to compete at the Algarve Cup 2013.

Denmark are in Group A at the tournament alongside opponents Germany, Japan and Norway.

Denmark open their 2013 Algarve Cup campaign against the current holders Germany on Wednesday 6th March 2013. Here is the full Algarve Cup 2013 fixtures

The 23-player selection is more than normal for the friendly tournament, this is linked to the upcoming UEFA Euro 2013 tournament where 23 players are allowed. The Algarve squad will look like the final Euro Championship squad but their is no guarantee of a place. Kenneth Heiner-Møller told the official Denmark website  “I always take out the players, which I think is best at the time. This would of course also be room for replacements in the squad, if there are players who overtake on the inside in the next few months”.
