Leaving aside the fact that I am stunned by the thought that anyone living in Canada hasn't heard of Moncton, the suggestion that the games should have been concentrated in Central Canada deserves a reply:

1. BC Place and Coomonwealth Stadium have a substantially larger capacity than the largest Stadium in TO, being the Rogers Centre. Winnipeg's new stadium can be expanded to about 40,000. Moncton will be the smallest at 20,000 plus, but that's still bigger than BMO or Saputo.

2. Whence comes this idea that crowds outside the GTA will be small? At the U20 WC in 2007, Canada set an attendance record with Edmonton and Montreal outdrawing Toronto (limited by the use of BMO). Edmonton continues to hold the attendance record for a U20 WomensWC game at over 47,000

3. A quarter of Canada's population may live in Southern ON. Three quarters do not.

It is my understanding that cities will not be group cities but that te teams will rotate through the country.

Will buy tickets for Edmonton or the Peg. Going to be a great event.

Don't plan yet until you see the groups and games. It'll take you three days non-stop to drive from Vancouver to Moncton.

I think each city will be a group city. Toronto is hosting the Pan Am games a few weeks later so they declined to continue bidding but there is still a small chance as Toronto may be a host nation. There's a petition going! People have to remember that more than a quarter of Canada's population (total 35 million?)live in Ontario- specifically Greater Toronto Area. With these smaller cities that were choosen (used to promote tourism) you won't see large home population crowds at these games with overall low attendance. Especially in these smaller cities like Moncton. I feel bad as I live in Canada yet I have just learnt of Moncton.
I do travel a lot but not in Canada. It would be better if it was Toronto, Montreal/ east coast rather than all these scattered cities. Much better for tourists.

@cheryl as the others said, take your time ,but more than likely your best bet is montreal,  I dont even know if their is a plane ticket from australia to moncton

@Cheryl that is a long journey, hopefully the schedule will suit you so you can get as to see as many games as possible coming from that distance!

Thanks everyone.  I'm just hoping to get to as many games as possible.  Coming from Australia my flight costs will already be huge so I'll have to minimise internal flights.

@Lars It's going to be a great tournament in Sweden. For anyone interested here are some more details about the Euro 2013 venues

The sooner they release the schedule for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 the better, it will give fans more of an opportunity to travel/accommodation arrangements. Can anyone remember when they released the schedule for the 2011 tournament maybe that will give us an idea as to how close to the tournament it gets released.

@LArs that is a good sequence, Ottawa and Montreal are a easy train ride plane trip and even car to each other, Moncton is in the atlantic provinces and you will need a plane ticket for that city depending on the scheduling. But that is a good set. Luckily this will be the summer in canada though in new brunswick, summer is not exactly mediterranean.

this will be an ongoing discussion It is important that we see the scheduling as early as possible. It can be argued that big countries like the USA, Canada and Brazil have states which can hold these events themselves. Even though it was a huge success, California, Texas or New York could have held the entire mens world cup in their states alone, like France, Germany, Italy, or england in Europe.
