Bruno Bini gave today a list of 18 players for the friendly match against Finland which will be played on June 1st at Valenciennes.
If we can notice the return of Elise Bussaglia and Ophélie Meilleroux, after their very long injuries, and the absences of Camille Catala and Laetitia Tonazzi (for the inverse reasons), the big surprise is Lyon's midfielder Amandine Henry's coming back.
She had been…

Dernhelm Lee said… oh i have the final too! i've been TRYING (rather desperately) to find the other matches. i already have the first half of the match vs Germany but can't download the 2nd because the allowable size for download has been exceeded and thus you need to pay for it :( shame i can't have the 2nd part where things got really exciting...
Dernhelm Lee said… say Gromit, do you have full match videos of any of the Nadeshiko's games in the Women's World Cup last year?
@ Gromit. This is what I have found in Linköping presentation of the Club
Women's football is growing
Women's football is one of the fastest growing sports and is played in all the world's countries. It
there are over 40 million registered female football players. Football is not just a sport but also
a powerful and valuable symbol in our globalized world. Soccer builds bridges far beyond
geography, language, ethnicity, religion and economics.
From the common passion, fighting spirit, inspiration and joy that is growing in
turn cohesion, friendship and a strong desire to drive both as individuals and teams achieve
their goals in sports arena. There are forces in motion and a huge potential to lift the women's football
new sporting peak levels. In Sweden alone there are thousands of women's football clubs
and over 10,000 different girls' / women's teams.
• The European perspective we are talking about more than 90 000 female clubs and over 230,000 teams.
• In Sweden, there are over 80,000 female soccer players over 12 years.
• Women's football has increased the number of participants by 20% over the past five years. In Sweden. For players under 12 years old there is no information
of cource Gromit i want to be your friend.
Dernhelm Lee said… great!! and good choices man! i've been debating in my head since forever on Necib and Sawa's positions in the midfield, but with your input i guess it looks like Louisa is better on the left than on the right, really? i'm not sure if Sawa really favors the left side of the midfield or if Louisa can't work if she's on the right. haha my starting XI is quite flawed it seems with role players or second/third-string players like Ami Otaki or who knows Heather Cooke (at the elite level) :p call me crazy but i foresee great things for Otaki, i hope it's not just my intuition ;)
Dernhelm Lee said… hey Gromit, i'm not sure if you caught the message i left in your chat window. i wondered if you had a fantasy Starting XI similar to what i have added to my profile :) just curious to know what yours would look like and it would be cool to start this kind of trend here at WSU! hehe :)
Dernhelm Lee said… oh dear, have you heard the latest news about your favorite, Gromit? :(
