Kansas City Shock: Showtime

Hello world,

Laying in bed, lights off, recovering from a heat induced headache.

Best headache I've ever had.

It's marvelously insane to realize what took place today on a beautiful, new soccer field in Kansas City, Kansas at 2:00 PM CST. A group of strong, talented ladies took the field dressed of Puma; wearing orange/white/blue socks, blue shorts, and a white jersey with orange numbers. The fans sat in the bleachers, in the sun, sweating it out; just over 200…

Tracking her traveling half way across the world while sitting here in Adelaide was a bit daunting and waiting for that message to say she was safe and finally getting to the next destination was hard.…

When you really want to see a fixture (A list of links that I commonly use)

For me, it began in 2010 when I wanted to see the U17 Women's Championship. The U20 Women's Championship had concluded a short time before and my favorite team (Korea Republic) had finished third. I had heard that the U17 Korea Republic had qualified for the U17s.

Unfortunately, even though ESPN had the rights to broadcast the tournament, they chose not to (this has since been changed as they did broadcast the 2012 edition).

And so, I began to search for links so I could…

Amandine Henry's back with the French NT

Bruno Bini gave today a list of 18 players for the friendly match against Finland which will be played on June 1st at Valenciennes.

If we can notice the return of Elise Bussaglia and Ophélie Meilleroux, after their very long injuries, and the absences of Camille Catala and Laetitia Tonazzi (for the inverse reasons), the big surprise is Lyon's midfielder Amandine Henry's coming back.

She had been…

The Kenyan Women League is finally going to kick off this month; despite the various set backs and the fear that it was not going to happen this year. The ladies have been given the green light after holding umpteenth meetings with the federation and various sponsors. So I now wait for the action to kick off and wish them a successful season.

I got a chance to meet Sharon Bushenei; a young, vibrant and talented player who is a force to reckon with on the field. She…
