Female elite vie for crown



In just over a month, the winner of the tenth FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year will be revealed. Nominees announced for FIFA Best Player of 2010

Nigeria Beat Equatorial Guinea 4 – 2 African Women Championship trophy Final 2010



The Super Falcons of Nigeria defeated Equatoria Guinea 4-2 in the final of the 7th Africa women championship, South Africa 2010 to reclaim the African crown they lost two years ago.

Nigeria was faster off the blocks and in the 7thminute, Perpetua Nkwocha opened scores with a sublime finish after receiving a defence splitting pass from Jerome Ulunma. It was her 11th goal of the competition.

North Korea defeated South Korea 3-1 in extra time in the semifinals of women's football at the Asian Games here Saturday, continuing its dominance over its neighbor on the divided peninsula.

Japan 1 – 0 China 2010 Asian Games Woman's Soccer Semi-Final

Chinese women's soccer team failed to make a late equalizer after Japan stunned the host with the only extra-time goal in a semifinal at the Asian Games on Saturday (Nov 20).

Korea Republic edge China in shoot-out - 2010 Asian Games Woman's Soccer



Guangzhou: Korea Republic defeated China 8-7 in a rare penalty shootout staged to decide a pool winner at the Asian Games women's football tournament on Thursday.



After a 0-0 draw in their Group A match had left the two sides with identical points and goals record, the shootout was needed.

Controversy Continues To Dog The Guinea Women's Football Team

Chile 1-1 Colombia Sudamericano de Futbol Femenino 2010

The women's soccer teams of Chile and Colombia drew today, Wednesday, 1-1 in the first game of the final homer of the Copa America, which ended with an Olympic goal.

The women's soccer team of Brazil broke today, Wednesday, the wall and thrashed Argentina 4-0 to the champions of the Copa America in the finals of that tournament, held in Ecuador.
