In recent weeks, as we're all aware, several steps backwards have been taken in respect towards the growth of Women's Professional Soccer inside the United States. As a hopeful, die-hard fan, like many others I have taken to the keyboard and addressed my concerns to the United States Soccer Federation. Below is a copy of that message:

Rest assured that I have spent countless nights telling myself not to write to the United States…

This is a true story:
So I am a man of imagination, ideas, and dreams that never really take hold for anything [I get it from my parents]. Because of this I've had some brilliant ideas that were best left in my brain. However, today [because it is on topic], I'm going to share one of those ideas with you.
What's Your Cup?
Last week LiveStrong…

There Is A Reason For Every Season
It was 81 degrees last week at this time...
I'm now sipping coffee with the outside temperature sitting at a nice, balmy 37 degrees...
April is known as the month of change, at least in the meteoroligical perspective.
Perhaps it speaks towards women's soccer, and primarily women's professional soccer inside the United States, but this month has already shown through the WPS to be…

Let me get this out of the way first.
THE LIVE SCORE FEED ON THE FRONT PAGE OF WOMEN'S SOCCER UNITED IS UNREAL!
Props to all the folks working the kinks out of that and getting SoccerWay.com to work with WSU, it's nice to not have to open five different windows just trying to find scores on recent matches throughout the league(s). Yes, those of you who not members, be jealous, sign-up, and get over here because…

I enjoy sleep. It's a rarity of something that I get to enjoy, but when I get to sleep...I sleep. I recently even fell asleep during March Madness NCAA basketball games. Needless to say, rest and myself, we go hand in hand; or head on pillow [bad joke].
You can imagine my frustration then, when my phone vibrated, beeped, yelled, screamed, did whatever it's programmed to do in the event of a text message.
Who sends text messages at 3:00am? I mean, on a Friday night it isn't…

While the WPS continues their preseason...
While the MLS starts their season [yes, that is a segway]...
While Chris Henderson at All White Kit churns out the off season NCAA soccer information [seriously, I don't think the man sleeps]...
The Game Desires Growth
For those of you who stumbled upon this by accident, I live literally smack dab…

Hello World!
While most of these start out with myself running at 110% on topic and then running off the road later, today, with the completition of the Algarve and Cyprus Cup's and the upcoming Women's World Cup in June I think it is time for a bit of refresher.
It was brought to my attention a few days ago that we, Women's Soccer United [WSU], are experiencing a bit of a…

I was amazed at how warm it is outside, considering our situation last week, with the snow melting at a rapid rate, I was curious to discover the reason for the unseaonsable warmth.
Perhaps it's from the heated legal match up north, Canada, that has finally found its way down south.
The Great Thaw
As reported earlier, and as every soccer fan their sister may be aware of, not all things are friendly with the…

I feel as if I am nothing more than a little white rabbit running through the woods yelling at a young woman stating, "I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!"
Miss one week of keeping up with soccer news and you find yourself circled with articles, ideas, and whit from everyone and anyone over all the news of this last week. While trying to find some organization myself I believe it is proper (as always) to catagorize our ideas and thoughts, make notes and…

I was inside a high school science classroom. I was substitute teaching for a individual that was worn out and just needed a break from the kids that comprised this school of 250 students. I was happy to fill for her (afterall I was getting paid), and enjoy my day with students and faculty alike.
Students will be students.
Teachers though, they are entertaining. I spent lunch with them on Friday and listened to them discuss the future of their school, the budget…

Legally though I am a political scientist...
It was my choice, when facing my advisor as a small, minute, pathetic little freshmen (6'5, 185 pounds...wet) I had no choice. I had to make a choice as she was barking at me, so I took a deep gulp, remembered those years of public speaking and unknowing, uncontrollably blurted out "POLI SCI!". To my disgust I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. However, I didn't back away. The next 3 1/2 years were in the thick of the…

I hated math. I was terrible at it, am terrible at. I've been blessed with a wife that regrets, actually regrets not teaching math, and a father-in-law that CPA/CFA certified. My taxes are taken care of for life.
That being said, recently via The Equalizer discusses the most recent attempt to break the NCAA record for attendance at a NCAA Women's Soccer Match.
The goal they're…

I'm attempting to ease my pain while listening to Sportcenter fight over how hard one football player can hit another football player between it is too rough.
I suggested via Twitter to the NFL that if they just place flags on the players pants and just reach for those, things would move much smoother and safe (for those of you not from the US/Football World--that's called flag football played by small children).
Regardless, between a painful…

Springfield, Missouri – Let’s start with the problem at hand. I am not living in Northwest Missouri anymore (NW Missouri from now on). I currently reside in the Ozarks of Missouri. It’s nearly 3 hours away from Kansas City, which mean about 3 ½ hours away from what ‘home’ used to be. It means I’m uncomfortable, I’m out of my normal zone, and I need…

I sadly have a confession to make...
I lost interest in the WPS.
It wasn't because of the lack of play, it wasn't because the Kansas City Wizards were doing well. It was primarily because when St. Louis Athletica folded (making my Athletica hat useless), there was no team in my area worth even trying to cheer for...knowing that I'd never see them in person (that and I'm not a Chicago fan).
I've been studying MLS, and looking at their structure, and…
