Historic Win For England As They Beat USA 2 - 1

It was the first time USA played England on English soil, as both teams met for an International friendly at the Matchroom Stadium, Leyton Orient FC.



World No. 1, and 2 times World Champions USA were understandably the more favourited side to win the tie. A great crowd of over 6,000 (attendance needs to be confirmed) were at this much anticipated game and they were not in for a disappointment.

Powell awarded CBE
