Norway Lisa-Marie Woods has sustained a hip injury and is out of FIFA Women's World Cup 2011



Lisa-Marie Woods

has sustained a hip injury and will not participate in this summer's World Cup. Woods had a lesion in the left hip region during Sunday's training, and she was then taken out of further training. She has recovered a bit, but not enough to take her place in the team. This is a shame, both Lisa and for the national team. Coach Eli Landsem has picked Kristine Wigdahl Hegland for the Lisa’s replacement player.…

WPS Update: Wambach Discusses Daniela Injury

Saint Louis Athletica midfielder Daniela suffered a fractured tibia and damage to two knee ligaments after a collision with Washington Freedom forward Abby Wambach during Sunday night's game.
