Ciara Grant retires from international football after a 17-year career with the Republic of Ireland's women's national football team

Ciara Grant, the Republic of Ireland’s most capped women’s player, has announced her retirement from international football.

Grant, who will be 35 in May, was captain of the senior team for the past seven years.

She won a record-breaking 105 caps and scored 11 goals during a 17 year period having made her debut as teenager in a 3-1 win over the Faroe Islands.

Bahrain have signed Jordanian Maher Abu Hantash as the new head coach of the women's national football team

This was confirmed yesterday by Bahrain Football Association (BFA) technical director and competitions committee head Hassan Ismail.

Abu Hantash met with his squad last night at the BFA pitches in Riffa. BFA women's committee head Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa was also on hand.

England women's football team players are set to receive a £4,000 pay increase following negotiations with the Football Association. The players central contracts will rise from £16,000 to £20,000 a year. USA Women's National Soccer team to play China PR in the final three matches of Fan Tribute Tour!

The USWNT will meet China PR three times in December to conclude the Fan Tribute Tour.
