Comment by Women's Soccer United on May 14, 2011 at 14:20 Oh no that's a shame :( Hopefully we will still be able to find a stream on the day!
Positive about the 2013 qualifying coverage, shame there is not much chance for the league games at the moment.
Comment by Gareth Llewellyn-Stevens on May 13, 2011 at 18:58 Just spoke to the Scottish Football Association, unfortunately this game won't be televised in the UK, or available on their website, but will be televised live in France, so if someone can dig out a stream I'd really appreciate it.
A quick note on Euro 2013 qualifying coverage, the SFA are "actively engaged" with their media rights partner IMG to televise (at least some of) those games, which will include games against Wales and Ireland.
Also told: "There is a huge push between the Scottish FA and Scottish Women's Football (who are responsible for the women's leagues in Scotland) to develop women's clubs and players and grow the domestic game in this country. However there is, unfortunately, no appetite among broadcasters to show live league matches at the moment."
Comment by Women's Soccer United on May 10, 2011 at 11:59 Great article, thank you. I am looking forward to this International |Match, see if Scotland can improve in on their record.
I hope you can get to the match :):) @gareth
Comment by Gareth Llewellyn-Stevens on May 10, 2011 at 10:55 I might be going to this game if I can sort out the travel plans in time, but it's the day after the game in Oxford, so I'm not sure yet.
Scotland don't have a good record against France. Lost 3-0 against France in the Cyprus Cup and 4-0 in Chatres in 2009.
Good to see a healthy number of WSL players in the line-up though. Wonder how many people will know who Julie Stewart is without using Google. ;-)
