Jorge Barcellos takes the role of Brazil women's national team head coach ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The coach has big ambitions for the Brazilian women's national football team, to bring home the gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic tournament next summer.
Barcellos' first test will be the Sao Paulo City tournament which will be great preparation for the Olympic games.
Two exciting international friendlies have also been confirmed for April 2012, Brazil v USA and Brazil v Japan (both to be played in Japan).
This is already a great step forward for the Brazilian women's team, at previous major tournaments they have not arranged friendlies with top quality teams to test and prepare them.
We look forward to a very exciting chapter for the Brazil women's national team and their fans.

Comment by Diane on November 23, 2011 at 22:15 Competition is getting tighter and tighter. National teams should have year round schedule, not just majors:Olympics and WWC Look forward to seeing what the "new" Brazil looks like..
