Marta Vieira da Silva named as one of the six ambassadors for the FIFA World Cup 2014

The Local Organizing Committee also announced the names of the six 'ambassadors' of the World: the player Marta Vieira da Silva, five-time winner of the best in the world, and five former players who have won the World Cup with the Canarinha jersey . The other ambassadors are Ronaldo, scorer champion and in 2002, Bebeto (1994), Carlos Alberto Torres, captain of the champion in 1970, Amarildo (1962) and Mario Lobo Zagallo, champion as a player in 1958 and 1962 and in technical positions 1970 and 1994.

 

"The poster is a fantastic example of creative excellence of Brazil. No doubt that the winning proposal will be a splendid card for the FIFA World Cup 2014, which starts in 498 days," said Valcke, who was the jury that chose the winner, said in a statement the sporting body. The poster was designed by the Brazilian agency Cream, and has at its center two legs of opposing players who are on white background silhouette map of the country and compete for a soccer ball under the caption "2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil".
