Norway Lisa-Marie Woods has sustained a hip injury and is out of FIFA Women's World Cup 2011

Lisa-Marie Woods

has sustained a hip injury and will not participate in this summer's World Cup. Woods had a lesion in the left hip region during Sunday's training, and she was then taken out of further training. She has recovered a bit, but not enough to take her place in the team. This is a shame, both Lisa and for the national team. Coach Eli Landsem has picked Kristine Wigdahl Hegland for the Lisa’s replacement player.

Nightmare for Lisa-Marie, just before World Cup, my heart goes out to her, I hope she has a speedy recovery. Big loss for Norway too!
