Peace Queen Cup 2010 Australia reach the final



In Suwon, Korea, at 5 p.m., the second game of Group B, Australia vs. Chinese Taipei, took place. Australia defeated Chinese Taipei 1-0, and they became the first team to reach the final.

The team, which already won a game against Mexico, held 2 days ago, started the game in a comfortable mood. Tom Sermanni, the coach of the team, let players who played the game before take a rest today.

Expectedly, Australia absolutely dominated the game. They used their tall heights, comparatively to the Chinese Taipei team, as they did for the last game. McCallum, who scored in the last game, missed a shot, but they played more aggressively then. In 17minute, Kathryn Gill made a goal and led the game.

In the second half, Autralia kept attack on Chinese Taipei and were almost to make it, Feng chiu Huang saved many. However, Chinese Taipei never made a goal, Australia won the game 1-0.

Australia, with 2 victories, finally reached the final of Peace Queen Cup and were able to ready for the fight against the team, winner of the group A

As Australia became the first of the group, Chinese Taipei and Mexico could not reach the final automatically.
