Thanks for adding me as a member. I´m a father of two young girls playing soccer here in Iceland and one of the big problem in following women´s soccer is the attitude of sports journalists, not commenting on that sport. Being here it helps me following the sport and there we can follow women´s soccer together on the net.

As it turns out, I do in fact need some help. I do a weekly podcast. Mostly covering Seattle Sounders. But also some European football. And recently, I've covered a little about NWSL and the Reign.

My request for help is in regards to better understanding the situation with Amy Rodriquez. I'd like to know if there are good sources that clearly cover how her issue has been handled. Is it known if US Soccer knew before the initial picks were made that she was pregnant?

I believe leaving for pregnancy and returning to play will become a normal part of women's professional sports. In Amy's case I'm wondering if the Reign knew prior to her pick, or later as has been reported.

Sincerely,

Ryan S
