Sanne Troelsgaard: “FC Rosengård has always been sort of a dream club for me”

Fantastic opportunities ahead for Sanne Troelsgaard who recently signed to FC Rosengård from KoldingQ.

A move that will allow the opportunity for the Danish international to focus even more on her football career.

Among Troelsgaard’s many attributes is her precision in front of goal, Sanne has been a regular nominee and two-times winner of goal of the month, with her spectacular finishes.

Danish international Sanne Troelsgaard has just won bronze with her country at the 2017 Algarve Cup after beating Australia on penalties in the 3rd/4th Place Playoff match. The popular friendly tournament featuring some of the top women’s football teams in the world was used as part of preparations for this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 Championship.

Sanne Troelsgaard kindly took time out of her busy schedule to chat exclusively to Women’s Soccer United about her recent move to the top Swedish club, FC Rosengård.

Women’s Soccer United: How did the opportunity present itself to make the move to Sweden?

Sanne Troelsgaard: It is a great opportunity for me to come to this great club. I can now focus only on my football instead of working. I feel I can develop my football further to reach its full potential.

Women’s Soccer United: Was signing for FC Rosengård an easy/hard decision to make?

Sanne Troelsgaard: It was an easy decision for me to make, because FC Rosengård has always been sort of a dream club for me, and also it is one of the top clubs in Europe and I can play with some of the best players in Europe.

Women’s Soccer United: What excites you the most about this new challenge?

Sanne Troelsgaard: What excites me with this new challenge is the UEFA Women’s Champions League, in which we will play soon against FC Barcelona [in the quarter-final] and then we begin a new season where are aim is to win new titles in the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

Women’s Soccer United: How has your first experiences with the club been so far? What are the similarities/differences to your previous experience?

Sanne Troelsgaard: My first weeks experiences with the club so far has been amazing. There is a big and positive difference between this club and all the great amenities here, than what I’m used to from my previous experience. I am glad for my change and I have a good feeling.

Women’s Soccer United: Tell us about your new teammates?

Sanne Troelsgaard: My teammates are fantastic. My teammates have supported me in the beginning and welcomed me. The team and my teammates are very good at including everyone, and it already feels like a little family, with a lot of dance and smiles in the dressing room.
