god how the commentators kept on nagging about pia, and her high-fives...maybe it was a tad over-the-top after 6-7 goals...but they kept on nagging and nagging...and of course they thought that the us should have scored less...and i'm wondering why?....

a). this is a qualification, not a popularity contest, and goals scored could be an advantage later on...

b). if they would have taken it down a notch, how would the gameplay look like?...would they surrender the ball on occasion?, or would the just keep possesion and play it back and forth?...they were clearly the better team, wouldn't it be like spitting somebody in the face and shaming them, to not play for the win/next goal/next score...

if this was a friendly game or something similar, then i could consider taking it down a notch by expermenting with the lineup, the system etc. but, friendly or no, i would certainly go for the win...

lastly i thought the commentators were a bit boring, don't really know if they are called "experts", but they had some funny remarks...like the one about mia hamm not being in the same class as wambach, sinclaire, prinz. the explanation was that they thought that the womens game wasn't as developed as now, hence it was easier for her back then...well, can't blame them too much i guess, they are "only" north americans or canadians...and they still call the worlds biggest sport for soccer.... :D
