The 24 Hour Charity Football Match is to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, they do an amazing job and they need all the support we can give them. On the day there will be ex-pro’s, celebrities and some extra special guests coming down during the 24 hours to play, watch and support the event.

The concept of the match is simple – 2 teams will play every 45 minutes, when the first final whistle is blown, the next 2 teams will come on and play and so on.. teams must have at least 11 players with a maximum squad of 15. The match is being played at Stamford AFC in Lincolnshire, kick-off is 6pm 27th April 2012 and the final whistle is 6pm 28th April.

The aim of the event is to bring the whole community together to support a cause that has sadly affected us all at some time in our lives. At Charity 24 they aim to get everybody involved, regardless of sex, age, ability or disability. Another area which is very important is healthy living and education and to this end they aim to have stalls offering healthy foods and drinks, they also hope to offer some education about healthy living. and general information about cancer.

The website is now online www.charity24.co.uk, all of the information about the match and how to get registered to play will be available on there.

Good luck to Chris Grant, Mimi Bunn, Mamun Ali, Ben Westerman and all of the Charity 24 team for all of their fundraising efforts. Get involved, register your team at the Charity 24 website.
