2nd WAFF Futsal Women’s Championship 2012

The Championship started on Tuesday when Bahrain defeated Iraq 8-2 in Group A.

Big win for Bahrain against Iraq

Manama – Bahrain managed to get the prefect start after winning against Iraq 8-2 on Tuesday, at the opening match of WAFF second Women Futsal championship 2012 in Bahrain.

Yasmeen Tobellah (4), Deena Abdelrahman (6, 8, 23 and 38), Reem Al Hashmi (14 and 16) and Manar Yaqoob (37) scored for Bahrain, while Rojeen Sarhan (21) and Sipal Rasheed (35) scored for Iraq.

The third team in the Group, Iran, well play their first match against Iraq on Thursday.

There will be 2 matches in Group B on Wednesday, Jordan play Jordan, and Lebanon face Palestine.

Wins for Jordan and Lebanon in Group B

Manama – Jordan started their campaign with a big win against Qatar 20-0 on Wednesday in Group B of WAFF second Women Futsal championship 2012 in Bahrain.

Stephanie Al Naber (1, 3, and 37), Farah Alazab (2, 22, and 37), Maysa Jbarah (9, 10, 23, 29, 35, and 38), Abeer Al Nahar (14, 17, 31, and 36), Hebah Fakher Elddin (16), Enshirah Al Hyasat (21), Shahnaz Jebreen (31) and Abeer Rantisi (39) scored the winning goals for Jordan.

In the other match at the same group, Lebanon won against Palestine 5-2.

Sara Bakri (29), Sara Haidar (35, 38) and Nancy Tchaylian (37, 40) scored for Lebanon, while Nevin Alkolayb (20 and 38) scored Palestine two goals.

The second round of the group will be played on Friday, as Jordan face Lebanon, while Palestine plays Qatar.

Iran reach semi final after big win against Iraq

Manama – Iran started their campaign to defend their title with a big win against Iraq 13-0 on Thursday, in Group A at WAFF second Women Futsal championship 2012 in Bahrain.

Elnaz Armat (1), Nilofar Ardallani (6,11), Leila Eghbali (8,27), Fatemeh Etedadi (11,14), Sepideh Zarrinrad (18, 37), Fahimeh Zarei (24), Nasimeh Gholami (28, 32, 34) scored the winning goals for Iran.

Iran guaranteed to qualify for the semi final with Bahrain who defeated Iraq 8-2 on Tuesday, as the match between Iran and Bahrain will decide the leaders of the group.

There will be 2 matches in Group B on Friday, as Jordan play Lebanon, and Palestine meets Qatar.

Second win for Jordan

Manama – Jordan got their second victory against Lebanon 4-2 on Friday in Group B of WAFF second Women Futsal championship 2012 in Bahrain.

Shahnaz Jebreen (4, 19, and 31) and Stephanie Al Naber (36) scored for Jordan, While Reem Chalhoub (7) and Darine Fakhreddine (34) scored for Lebanon.

In the other match at the same group, Palestine got their first victory against Qatar 9-0.

Kiloudi Salama (13, 23, 33), Caroline Sohgian (14, 18, 38), Ayah Alkhatib (22), Talin Abughazala (31), Marian Albandak (37) scored the winning goals for Palestine.

Jordan stayed in first place at the group with 6 points from two matches, while Lebanon and Palestine have 3 points and Qatar still pointless.

Bahrain will face Iran on Saturday, in the battle for top spot in Group A.

The third round of the group will be played on Sunday, as Jordan meet Palestine, while Lebanon plays Qatar
