Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Ghana, 2018 starts on 17 November.
The Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2018, which serves as qualification to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, starts next month in Ghana!
The African Women Cup of Nations is a biennial tournament by CAF (Confederation of African Football), and 2018 marks the 11th edition of this competition which will be held in Ghana from 17 November to 1 December 2018. It will be known as the Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Ghana, 2018.
As the host country, Ghana automatically qualified for this tournament which doubles up as the 2019 Women’s World Cup qualifiers for Women’s National Teams in Africa. They will be joined by 7 other nations who successfully advanced from the qualifying rounds which were contested in April and June this year.
Equatorial Guinea are not able to qualify for the World Cup 2019 following October 2017’s FIFA Disciplinary Committee announcement that it had sanctioned the Equatorial Guinea Football Association with expulsion from the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019.
The official draw of the Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Ghana, 2018 will take place at Kempinski Hotel Accra on Sunday 21 October.
