Arsenal give positive update on Beth Mead injury.
Arsenal have released a statement on Beth Mead’s injury at Everton on Sunday confirming that her injury isn’t as bad as first feared.
Mead was stretchered off the pitch midway through the first half in Sundays 3-1 away victory in Southport following a innocuous challenge.
The statement on Arsenal.com read Beth Mead is currently receiving treatment for bruising in her lower leg, sustained by a tackle in our fixture against Everton last weekend.
An X-ray confirmed that there is no fracture and she will begin rehabilitation work to get her back to full fitness as soon as possible.
Everyone at the club is wishing Beth a speedy return.
At present no timescale has been given as to her return to action.
She has scored one goal in 10 WSL appearances so far in 2019-20 and she has 5 goals in 5 in the Continental Cup.
