Asian Qualifiers Finals 2020 Tokyo Olympics Women’s Football Tournament

 

Kuala Lumpur: The journey to identify the two teams who will join Japan in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Women’s Football Tournament has begun, following the official draw for Round 3 of the Asian Qualifiers.

 

The top two teams from each group will advance to the two-leg crossover play-offs – to be played on a home and away basis – with the Group A winners facing the Group B runners-up and vice versa.

The two play-off winners will join Japan, who have already qualified by virtue of being hosts, in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The third round will be played on February 3rd – 9th, 2020 with the play-offs scheduled for March 6th and 11th.

Football at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics will commence with the women’s matches on July 22 – two days before the Games’ official opening ceremony . The 12-team women’s tournament will finish on August 7th.
