Australia Westfield Matildas squad announced for China tour.
Australia Women’s National Team Head Coach Alen Stajcic has named a 21-player squad to travel to YongChuan, Chongqing to participate in the China Football Association International Women’s Football Tournament.
The international women’s football tournament is scheduled to run from 19 to 28 October and will include matches against China and England as well as the possibility of a third fixture.
The China tour will play a crucial role in Australia Westfield Matildas’ preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympic qualifiers which start in February 2016.
The Football Federation Australia has also announced that Gary van Egmond (former Newcastle Jets Head Coach) has joined the Westfield Matildas as an Assistant Coach.
